Naturally Cooled Seating
Hot and Cold A friend and I arrived at this spot as snow was falling. Once we set up the snowfall became very heavy and accumulated rapidly. Driving home was a white-knuckled adventure.
Warm and Cool. As daylight rapidly faded this scene became simplified and graphic. Mist began to rise in the field and a thick bank of fog formed over the lake in the background. I was struck by the contrast of colours and have tried to preserve that feeling here. 10 seconds, f8, ISO 100 at 110mm.
Dreaming of a Tropical Sunrise Beachfront homes and cabins are closed up for winter. I stood here, dressed in heavy boots, mitts, parka and toque, wishing I could feel warm sand between my toes. :) Nikkor 14-24, 1/15, f11, ISO 100, -2 EV compensation.
Dreams of Happy Hour Pre-sunrise. The lake is down to winter levels, docks are beached, happy hours seem a distant memory.
